Where does counselling take place?

In-person counselling is held at a private, home-based studio located in the quiet College Heights area of Nanaimo, BC.

The counselling studio is:

  • Located in a separate suite away from the home
  • Equipped with a private and confidential entryway
  • Newly renovated and welcoming
  • In a quiet location with great views of Nanaimo
  • Easy to find and park at

If you’re not able to come to Nanaimo for in-person sessions, telehealth provides another effective way for us to work together.

  • Interior view of Tanglewood Counselling, with pink flowers under a windowsill on a brown dresser
  • Couch and chair inside Tanglewood Counselling, arranged near a window with beige curtains
  • Wide view of the counselling studio at Tanglewood, with a seating area and desk against the far wall
  • Two blue fabric armchairs next to a circular silver table at Tanglewood Counselling
  • View of a circular paving stone patio, with colourful outdoor chairs sitting on top
  • Stone retaining wall and a new wooden fence with green grass in the back yard of Tanglewood Counselling, with blue ocean and a pink sky in the background
  • Colourful outdoor chairs arrange around a circular stone patio with a fence in the background
  • A look at a grove of evergreen trees, viewing upwards towards a blue sky and fluffy clouds

Who else works at Tanglewood Counselling?

As Tanglewood Counselling is a solo practice, I’m the only counsellor here – but I do employ a pair of feline helpers.

Say hello to Luna and Bodhi!

If you take online counselling with me, you may catch a glimpse of these little guys. When that happens I’m often asked their names by my clients, so now you know!

These troublemakers like to sit in the window, walk along the back of my chair, and occasionally get into mischief.

Note: Luna and Bodhi don’t attend in-person counselling sessions.
